The bottom, with its preserved glacial shape, evokes the sweet sceneries of the most known touristic mountain places, such as Tyrol and
Engadina. But it is enough to come up the paths around the village to become aware of the presence of the big Aosta Valley massifs:
Mont Velan, Mont Fallère, and higher, the Mont Blanc.
The climate of Saint Oyen is the proof that it is a mountain resort. The precipitations are abounding in winter, when the snow covers all
the region with its thick white blanket, which makes the ground soft until spring. In addition to that, the municipal administration has
installed an irrigation system all over the area: nowadays Saint Oyen is verdant and flourish in summer, snow-white in winter.
