Siro Viérin was born in Aosta, the 18 August 1959. Since he was a child, he showed an interest and a strong passion for sculpture,
nourished by the curiosity and the admiration for the works exposed in the handicraft exhibitions in Aosta Valley, that he never missed.
Self-taught in all respects, he started carving wood by reproducing simple animal forms, inspired by the environment near him.
His one-men show, 1983, has to be remembered, with a long list of other collective exhibitions in Aosta Valley (Aosta, Saint-Vincent, Gressan, Donnas)
and out of the borders of the country: in France (Arles, Meysieu, Passy), in Finland (Lahti, 1992).
